Bethesda, MD  Aledade, the nation’s largest network of independent primary care, has launched a new service to accelerate practices’ ability to hire physicians, advanced practice providers and new staff, addressing the ongoing nationwide workforce challenges that primary care practices encounter.

Aledade’s Practice Health Recruiting Solution streamlines the hiring process – from initial opportunity intake to candidate sourcing and vetting – of both clinical and non-clinical talent and unburdens practices from the problems that accompany the attracting of staff.

According to the National Center for Health Workforce Analysis (NCHWA), which informs public and private decision makers on health workforce issues, an expansion in the number of primary care clinicians is crucial to improved health outcomes and health equity in the United States. The NCHWA projects a shortage of 68,020 full-time equivalent primary care physicians by 2036, and recommends prioritizing primary care in order to improve quality care.

In addition, a recent report found that 38% of health care companies lack dedicated recruiting and sourcing teams while 58% of those companies identify their greatest burden as the lack of recruiting expertise. These shortfalls delay primary care practices from hiring clinicians and non-clinical professionals.
