The Aledade FIRST Program

Illuminating The Pathway to Value-Based Primary Care

The Aledade FIRST (Fostering Independence, Readiness, Sustainability and Togetherness) program aims to illuminate the primary care pathway by educating new physicians on value-based care (VBC) and spotlighting career opportunities in Aledade FIRST partner practices and community health centers (CHCs).

This program is intended to welcome the curious and equip the committed with a robust set of skills designed to enhance and not replace the training new physicians receive in their formal residency training.

Our 15-month program offers the following to set up residents for success:

  • Asynchronous value-based care and general practice management online curriculum.
  • Physician-led group discussions with ongoing tech-enabled peer learning.
  • Opportunity for a subsidized clinical rotation in a value-based care practice setting
  • Financial incentives up to $60,000 that align with NHSC and other loan forgiveness organizations.
  • Coordination of job placement in an Aledade partner practice or community health center.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Must be enrolled full-time in an allopathic or osteopathic family medicine or general internal medicine residency program.
  • Priority will be granted to applicants who: Have identified their target market for job placement.

How is our program valuable to the primary care physician workforce of the future? Let’s hear from the Aledade FIRST pipeline of new value-based care-trained physicians in Aledade partner practices and community health centers across the United States.
