In healthcare, the only constant is change. Policies, regulations, payments, models of care…these change often, and for those delivering primary care, frequent changes often negatively impact their ability to practice care the way they want, taking needed attention and energy away from patient care.
Aledade’s mission, however, has remained the same since the moment of our founding 10 years ago: to do what’s good and right for patients, doctors and society. And over the last decade, we have seen first-hand how that mission has made a difference for clinicians and their staff – how it has supported them in overcoming the challenges of providing quality primary care services in this constantly evolving landscape.
We are honored to be part of the solution for dedicated physicians like Dr. Shawn Purifoy, of Malvern, Arkansas, who needed a partner that could help his family practice keep up with rapid payment model changes so he could stay independent. We’re proud to support doctors like Dr. Karen Smith, who wanted a partner to help her Raeford, North Carolina, practice navigate payer relationships and improve access to patient data. We’re fueled by stories like that of Dr. Raj Dua, whose Elkridge, Maryland, practice found the technical support it needed to manage evolving population health requirements.
Our mission is at the core of everything we do at Aledade – our objective, everyday, is to serve the 27,000 clinicians who comprise our ACO membership, to provide their staff with the right resources and tools, and to support their efforts to deliver enhanced access to quality, preventive care to their communities.
But it’s not a mission that is ours alone.
Even after 10 years, we remain inspired by the impact our members are making in their communities with the shared savings revenues they’re earning through our ACOs. They’re launching food pantries, transportation services and community gardens; they’re expanding their staff, their buildings, and their service offerings; and they’re weathering storms, like the Change Healthcare cyberattacks, as a constant beacon of care for their communities. Their mission is the same as ours: to do what is right for patients, for doctors and for society.
And our work is not done.
